Morgan Chase, a 10th-grader from Bowdoin, has been named the May Student of the Month She was nominated for excelling in living out the school's mission statement and has been identified as a student who is an integrative and informed thinker.
English teacher Ms. Janet Galle, who nominated her, said, "Morgan's work on her i-Search paper has led her to integrate the knowledge she has gained into her daily life and into further reading."

MARCH 2011 MOST IMPROVED STUDENTS
For the March Student of the Month, Mt. Ararat High School has teamed up with the Portland Sea Dogs and NextGento recognize students who have worked hard and shown the most improvement since the beginning of the year. Teachers selected students based not only on academic achievement, but factors such as development or improvement in behavior and social aspects as well. Each student who is nominated as a NextGen Most Improved Student will receive a complimentary ticket to a selected Sea Dogs game and will be honored on the field in a
special ceremony prior to that game.
