BLUE DAY
MTA is running an After School Bike Ride Club this fall on Wednesdays. The club is for riders of any level! It's non-competitive and fun and will be led by rider/racer Katrina Zelanski, with help from some Bowdoin College students! For a registration packet with more information see Mr. Furrow, but don't delay! The club begins Sept. 22nd.
The Math Team will meet after school on Thursday, Sept. 9th and Monday, Sept. 13th in Room 304. Math Team members and all students interested in joining the Math Team are asked to attend one of these two meetings. See Ms. Palmer or Ms. Reichert if you have any questions.
URGENT NOTICE! The Class of 2012 desperately needs volunteers to work the BIW Fund Raising Event on Sunday, Sept. 12th. Contact a class council member today if you or your parents can help!
Interested in traveling to Germany, Switzerland, and Italy this April? See Frau Heath in Room 249 for information!
The first Interact Club meeting of the year will be on Thursday, Sept. 9th immediately after school in the Band Room. Everyone interested in community service is invited to attend. Meetings are every Thursday, and weekly attendance is expected!
The Gay Straight Alliance holds its opening meeting on Thursday, Sept. 9th at 2:30 in Room 270.
Nutrition Tip of the Day: Remember to get one hour of physical activity every day, especially on pizza day. Pizza is a tasty popular menu item for lunch, dinner, or just a snack. But pizza can be full of more calories than you need, so balance out those extra calories with some fun physical activities.

There is a Class of 2013 meeting for all students and parents on Tuesday, September 7th at 6 pm in the MTA High School Commons. Parents are needed to help support students with activities like Homecoming, dances, fundraising, and other events. There are multiple ways to help!
