Overdue Materials and FinesNotices
The following procedure is used to notify students of
overdue materials.
Fines
There are no fines on regular library books that
circulate for two weeks. $.50 per school day, per item
up to $5.00 will be charged on the following
Replacement Costs
Students will be charged the replacement cost of the
lost or unrepairable item at the discretion of the
library staff. If the item is out of print and the
value cannot be determined, the following schedule
applies:
Students will be charged $10.00 for books that have been damaged and need to be rebound. Students will be charged $3.00 to mend books that can be repaired in-house. Note: Students who have overdue materials or owe fines or money for lost materials will not be permitted to borrow any additional items until they have taken care of all obligations. Students owing materials or fines will be permitted to arrange payment by working in the library after school at the rate of $7.00 per hour. Students sign up at the library circulation desk for the day they choose to work. Students who sign up to work and then fail to show up with no explanation will lose the opportunity to work off what they owe. Interlibrary Loan
Students are responsible for any interlibrary loan
material that we borrow for them from another lending
library. Should a student lose or damage an
interlibrary loan material, that student will be
charged the replacement cost of the material or the
cost to repair the material. The lending library will
determine the relevant charges for the material in
question. Any fines that are accrued through the use of
interlibrary will also need to be paid.
