Internet Use Policies
- Students will have no reasonable expectation of
privacy to any materials transferred by or stored
within the network. Inspection can occur at any time
and without any cause.
- It is the responsibility of students using school
computers not to access inappropriate materials. Library
staff members shall be the final judge of the
acceptability of materials.
- Computers may not be used for Facebook, YouTube, chat or games.
- Students that fail to follow the library's guidelines concerning usage of computers in the library will be subject to the following consequences. The first infraction will result in not being allowed to use the library for one week. The second infraction will result in a two week ban from the library. The third infraction will result in a one month ban. After the third infraction, students will not be allowed to use their laptop in the library.
Student Behavior
- Students who come to the library must have an agenda pass or honors pass,
except during their lunch period.
- Students are expected to follow the study hall guidelines and should be prepared to engage in study related to their academic coursework.
- Students are expected to come directly to the
library from study hall or class. Errands are permitted
only with permission from a library staff member.
- Students using the research area are expected to
work quietly.
- Students using the silent study area are expected to
work with no talking whatsoever.
- Students are expected to follow directions given by
the library staff.
- Students are expected to behave courteously and to
respect other people and their property.
- Students are expected not to move furniture and to
sit no more than four people to a table.
- Food is not permitted in the library.
- Students that fail to follow the library's guidelines concerning appropriate behaviors in the library will be subject to the following consequences.
